While part of the funding for these endeavors has come from research grants, another source had to be found, as the scientific community faces ever-increasing government cutbacks. ASSAP水凝胶即抗扩散自组装肽水凝胶，是一种合成基质，由标准合成氨基酸（1% w/v）和99%水的明确混合物组成。核心成分为抗扩散自组装肽（ASSAP）。在生理条件下，肽组分自组装成3D水凝胶，呈现出纳米级纤维结构。作用机制与优势主要包括以下几个方面：
①抑制细胞扩散：其纳米结构亲水水凝胶能够有效抑制细胞粘附和扩散，同时提供纳米结构合成微环境。这种特性使得它可以根据特定细胞类型进行调整，从而培养出“难以培养”的细胞，如肺、乳腺和结肠干细胞。
②模仿生理生态位：作为第一个可供分发的Nanomed3D SAP，ASSAP提供了细胞外基质的典型纳米结构形貌，模仿了组织中发现的干细胞的生理生态位。它最大限度地减少细胞扩散，而不阻止细胞低附着，促进了细胞的增殖并保留了细胞的干性。

● PASAP水凝胶：
